The show was a comic drama about personal hygiene, including sanitary methods of waste control and handwashing; the risk of contractign tuberculosis from sharing drinking straws with persons infected with TB; and, about how to access the local system of health insurance ($2 per person per year for comprehensive coverage). It was a big hit.
Hi Patricia, Congratulations on making it to Rwanda! Anne and I were in Tanzania in Summer 2006 with 10 high school students visiting a Lutheran high school. There the students put on several skits for us that taught the audience about AIDS and domestic violence. Some of it very funny even while providing crucial public health information.
